When and Where

Meadowlark Collective gathers together at Redeemer Presbyterian Church in N. Greenville on Thursdays from September through early May. We run on a six week on/one week off schedule with a break for Thanksgiving, three weeks at Christmas, and a spring break. We have approximately 30 in-class days per academic year. A calendar will be made available before the start of each year.

Parental Requirement

By hiring teachers and offering core academic subjects, Meadowlark Collective is here to take a bit of the heavy load off of the teaching parent’s shoulders. We do not have a parent volunteer requirement and are glad to offer Thursdays as a day for parents to be able to turn their attention in other directions for a few hours. Your children are dropped off at 9:30 and picked up at 3:00.

Religious Affiliation

While we do not have a denominational affiliation, all of our Board members and teachers are Christians who deeply love Jesus. We believe that a true education can only be found in the pursuit of truth, goodness and beauty, and that all of those things come from God. This truth will inevitably be present in the way our teachers educate.

How Teachers are Selected

One of our goals is that our students learn from people who are passionate about what they teach, and excited to share that passion with their students. Some of our teachers have formal education experience, but not all. As a Board, we make sure that we feel confident that our teachers have an abundant grasp on the material they are teaching. Meadowlark Collective maintains a required reading list for all teachers (a link to those resources can be found in our “Restful Learning” to ensure that we remain faithful to our established educational philosophy, and also to provide guidance and a framework for each class. From there, we fully trust our teachers to bring themselves and their passion into each class time.
